The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to
peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this
life and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

제가 바꿀 수 없는 것을 받아들일 수 있는 평안과
제가 바꿀 수 있는 것을 변화시킬 수 있는 용기를
그리고 이 둘을 구분할 수 있는 지혜를 주소서.

매일을 단 하루로 살아가며
매 순간을 즐기도록 하셔서
고난을 평안의 통로로
받아들이게 하소서.

이 죄 많은 세상을 제 뜻이 아니라
주님처럼 그대로 받아 들이게 하시고
제가 주님의 뜻에 순종하기만 한다면
그 분이 모든 의를 이룰 것을 믿도록 하소서.

그리하면 제가 이 세상에서 합당한 행복을 누리고
다음 세상에서 그 분과 함께 가장 좋은 행복을
